So I have just returned from 3 weeks in Costa Rica. What a beautiful place full of fabulous wildlife. So many eco systems in one small country. I have never done wildlife photography before so armed with a 600mm lens and lots of enthusiasm I dived in. It is hard! The subjects are difficult to find (thank you to the guides with x ray vision!), the light is low or dark, the creatures just won't stay still, some of them move at incredible speed, they are camouflaged, often they are tiny. You need super sharp focusing, fast shutter speeds, no shakes and all in an instant. The results are really satisfying though - frogs, hummingbirds, sloths, wonderful water birds, magnificent macaws. Love to know what you think of my first efforts. Thanks, Andrew
